Duck Snacks Go Organic

in all of the talk about eating organic foods, we've forgotten to ask a simple question
do ducks prefer pre-packaged, organic snacks? 
we came armed with test snacks
(meant for the kids, but who's keeping track?) 
indeed, ducks do like organic cheese snacks!
of course, they also enjoyed the week old, Target hotdog buns leftover from our camping escapades
a friendly duck ate bread right out of Abbey's hand
she stayed brave within the circle of Daddy's arms 
sorry little duck

    Aw, that's a sweet compliment!  Dylan also fed organic cheddar bunnies to the ducks at the zoo today.  He's making it into an expensive habit :)

    The funny thing is, the kids threw in some chocolate grahams, and the ducks didn't want anything to do with those!  So I guess they have some standards ;)

    They did!  Poor Dylan would just drop it in instead of throwing, though, so the ducks had to come really close to get their grub :)

    We just did that last night.

    I am so happy I still have a little one to do the fun stuff with, especially feeding ducks.

    He never tires of that.

    Giggling, because we were at the river on my old college campus.  I'm pretty sure it gets to maybe two or three feet deep, and it's maybe the width of a two lane road.  No alligators :)

    Duck feeding is pretty cool.  This week, Dylan was dropping cheddar bunnies into the fountain at the zoo before I could stop him.  There are ducks there, but those pesky zoo people don't like you to feed the animals :) Ooops, back to the park we go!

    We buy in bulk at Costco :)  They're definitely a favorite snack here, too.  In fact, there was an epic battle over them at the library this afternoon, because (horror of horrors!) I expected them to share a bag.
