After They Exhaled...

If you read Waiting to Exhale or even just saw the movie, you may have wondered what happened to Savannah, Bernadine, Glorian, and Robin after they overcame the obstacles standing in the way of their happiness.

Let's just say Getting to Happy, Terry McMillan's sequel to the incredibly popular Waiting to Exhale, wouldn't be very interesting if it just rambled on about happily ever afters for the entire book!  Each of the women face new roadblocks and hardships, with their friendship as the one constant in their lives. 

Reading a sequel is always a bit of a risk.  Is it better to just leave the characters alone as we saw them at the end of the first book, or should we peer into their lives again?  Come on over to the BlogHer Book Club and see what I thought about Getting to Happy...
