Merry Mugging

I've been mugged by the hilarious (and mysterious) Momma Kiss, and it didn't hurt a bit.

Many thanks to Liz for masterminding
#MugSwap2011

Mama Kat's Writing Workshop had a Five Things prompt last week, so I thought I might use that to introduce myself a bit if you're visiting from #MugSwap2011.

5 Things We Don’t Know About You

- I'd rather wear heels than flats
- I majored in philosophy for two semesters
- I always thought I'd live in New York City, at least for a little while
- I don't eat red meat, except for Ball Park hot dogs at baseball games
- My favorite sport to watch is women's gymnastics

5 Things You’re Knowledgeable About

- 1980s movies
- The Oxford comma
- The mood-boosting power of ice cream
- Beverly Hills, 90210 episodes (the original)
- Random minutiae

5 Things You Know Nothing About

- How to convince my kids that sleeping is fun
- Being tall
- Finding the perfect pair of jeans
- Buying and selling stocks
- Cars, besides how to drive them

5 Things You Believe

- Abbey and Dylan become louder and needier the moment I open my computer or pick up the phone
- Positive thinking is a choice you can make each day
- Part of me will be a little sad when Abbey and Dylan no longer become louder and needier when I need a minute to myself
- Cheese and bread is an acceptable dinner
- Love matters

  1. Cheese and bread have been known to make an appearance in my household for dinner, more than once :)

    Love does matter!

    Nice mug!

  2. It's my favorite dinner.  Ryan thinks it's simply an appetizer, but I disagree :)  I'm glad to see I'm not the only one!

  3. I don't know which is more fun, discovering who your mug came from or seeing the great design for the first time! ;)

  4. Love it! I'm so excited to see what everyone got and (ultimate) can't wait to receive mine! :)

  5. I had to laugh at the five things you know nothing about...especially being tall, as I'm a shorty myself ;)
And cheese and bread is a totally acceptable dinner...so is cereal and toast.

  6. I love that you would rather wear heels than flats.  I'd rather grate my skin off with a cheese grater than wear heels.  We are so similar.  ;-)

  7. I'm bookmarking this for oxford comma research and when I want to quote Brat Pack flicks.

  8. I don't usually do cheese and bread... but cheese and crackers makes an appearance weekly... occasionally with sliced summer sausage. Appetizer... schmappetizer! It's yummy!

Oh goodness, you actually prefer heels than flats? Gasp! How could you?!? LOL

Nah, I'm just jealous, that's all :)  I have flat feet, so as much as I love heels, they just don't love me back.  Can't wear heels for more than 8-9 mins tops.

  12. OK, can't agree on the heels. I mean, I wear them cuz I'm short, but don't prefer them. The cheese and bread for dinner? Uh huh!!! Glad you liked the mug. What a fun swap!

  19. Mmmm, cheese and crackers is another delicious combination.

  20. Um, absolutely!  I don't think I've taken a break from watching it since it was on.  Reruns, then FX Syndication, now SoapNet :)

  21. Yes to all of them.  I can't wait until we can hang out :)

  22. I am nutty like that, right?  It's a little ridiculous.

  23. I think I've worn them for so long, my tendons feel all stretched in flats!

The mug is awesome.  My morning coffee (ok and afternoon coffee) is even better now.

  24. Yay!  I'm glad you liked the list :)

Oh, I love me some momma kiss!!! She is so fab!!!

Heels hurt my feet after a while, much prefer running shoes ;)

And bread & cheese? With olives & wine? Then ice cream for dessert?

You & I are destined to be friends!! :)
