Freshly baked pumpkin chocolate chip muffins and steaming coffee, sweetened with a smidge too much sugar, on the table.
All before 7:00 a.m.
You're looking at either a terrible morning or a beautiful one.
Can changing your perspective change the outcome of your day?
Absolutely!
ReplyDeleteDon't you think? I try to tell my husband that all of the time :)
ReplyDeleteYes, it can. But it's not always an easy choice to make.
ReplyDeleteYou bet!!! And if one had a great workout right before? Golden. :)
ReplyDeleteWell timed post. I'm battling this big this morning. Not always easy, but I do have a choice about how I view this day.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely!! It's not always easy but I know that if I start off the day wrong then usually the day is a crappy one!
ReplyDeleteThat looks yummy. And sounds like a good start.
ReplyDeleteYes, delicious :) I guess there are good things about sleep strikers.
ReplyDeleteYes, bad moods early in the day don't bode well for me!
ReplyDeleteMy children are determined that I might never work out in the morning again :( Oh well, I'll take my runs when I can get them, even if it is 10 pm!!
ReplyDeleteI try to make it often. It's harder to convince Ryan ;)
ReplyDeleteHmm. Good point. We haven't had too many early mornings lately (thank goodness) but I do think I could use that perspective sometimes.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a wonderful way to start the day. You are so right it is all about how we look at it.
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of in my nature to pick the bright side, but there are days when it's not the easiest choice to make. I notice the difference when I do, though.
ReplyDeleteCan I have your pumpkin chocolate chip muffin recipe please!
ReplyDeleteYes!! Definitely!
ReplyDeleteI love this simple post...what a beautiful reminder :)
I have to tell you...HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS. I swear a new shower curtain can change my perspective...but I love that you find it here, with a muffin and some coffee....I know that a text from you or an email stream that isn't busting at the seams or no fuss no muss in dressing the boys can make things a whiole lot better before 6am. ;) love you girl!
