Happy 4th of July!

Happy Independence Day everyone!  I hope that everyone takes a couple of minutes today to reflect on our country, our freedom, and all of the things that make the US a wonderful place to live.  It may not be perfect, and I'll be the first to admit that, but today we should revel in the fact that one of the many great things about our nation is our fundamental right to question our policies, our leaders, and the role we play in our government.

Wherever you are, look at our flag proudly today.

Personally, I'll think an extra thought about my Pap, a man who always, always honored our nation and flew his flag with reverence and pride.

These photos are from his memorial luncheon.  It was a lovely day, and Ryan played with the kids on the golf course for a bit, while I was chatting up a storm (as usual.)
