Friends

Abbey and I attended an extraveganza at the Lukas house today. Well, ok, it was a BBQ, but what's better than a sunny day and hanging out with some friends? Abbey met some new adults and had fun playing with Connor & Madison & their toys. We stayed a little later than anticipated, and I am pretty sure she was asleep before we left the subdivision.

Now that Madison is crawling, it's even cuter to watch the girls play together.


Right before this picture was taken, they were actually holding hands. It was so cute, but I wasn't quick enough with the camera. Connie said it was like they were communicating in some baby touching language, since they were holding hands, then taking turns touching each other's hair and faces.

Toes are pretty cool.

Taber Fridays

Most Fridays, GMa Sharon takes Abbey to her house, where she is lucky enough to hang out with a variety of people like GPa Don, Uncle Donnie, Aunt Jessica, and her furry cousin Honey Bear. Lots of times we end up getting pizza and hanging out for a while. After a stressful week at work, it's great to be able to spend time with the fam! Hopefully it's a tradition we can keep up for a long time. Abbey likes chatting with "Non". That's the best she can do for "Uncle Donnie" for now.

My Buddy

Stacy and Madison came over to hang out with us last weekend. We were hoping to get to the park, but the weather wasn't cooperating. Hanging out with the girls in the house worked out fine! Notice that they are already trying to match their outfits, like true BFFs. Stacy and I didn't plan on the matching green polka-dots, which means now I know who Abbey is calling when she seems to be pressing random buttons on my phone...

Bye Bye Bottles

Abbey has been doing pretty well with her sippy cups since she turned one, but she was still drinking a bottle at night before bed. Lately she hasn't seemed interested in it, and she would drink a little bit at a time, then do other things, then drink more. Last week we started offerring her a sippy of milk before bed, and she is transitioning very well. She hasn't had a bottle since! What a big girl, huh?
