Christmas 2010
Abbey happily sat on Santa's lap
She really, really wanted a dollhouse
Dylan happily sat on Santa's lap
He was quite the snuggler (and still is!)
Christmas 2011
Dylan barely noticed Santa; don't you see that choo-choo?
Abbey wanted to make sure, "Dylan wasn't too scared of Santa.
Christmas 2011
The thaw came when it was time to talk about the gifts
She really, really wants a new doll
Dylan really, really wants to make sure
Santa's not planning to sit on the train
have you linked up yet?
there's prizes...
Haha, so cute. What a difference a year makes.
ReplyDeleteGiggle. I wonder how next year will look...
ReplyDeleteI love those pictures!! I wish that Andrew was just as happy as Dylan around Santa. He didn't want much to do with him.
ReplyDeleteI love this. So much. For some reason, we hardly have any surviving pictures of the kids on Santa's lap. Maybe two out of all the years.
ReplyDeleteMy sister on the other hand has every single year of her boys (beginning with just the one, then the two of them) until they got too big.
Same Santa. Same location. Different little boys by leaps and bounds.
Her kids are now in high school and over six feet tall and I'm sure that particular Santa is long gone.
But she has a photo tree with all the shots of them side by side that she puts out every year.
I'm jealous. And oh so happy for her.
Merry Christmas to us all!
Love love love!! Thank you for linking up.
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays.
So they do warm up to him eventually? Whew!
ReplyDeleteSo precious! I can't believe the difference one year makes. Where is this Santa? He looks phenomenal! (Love the vintage-y look)
ReplyDeleteso cute!
ReplyDeleteOOOH my heart...look at how cute they look. I love it. Santa is wonderful and their little faces are melting me.
ReplyDeleteThose are too precious. It took 3 years of coaxing for my son to get comfortable enough to see Santa...ok it was a threat. I told him that Santa wouldn't bring him any gifts if he didn't tell him what he wanted.
ReplyDeleteYea, I'm a good mom like that.
Adorable photos. My little one's santa experience was not as pleasant. http://www.adventuresasasmalltownmom.com/2011/12/meeting-santa-for-first-time.html
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love that you did then and now!
ReplyDeleteCute to see how happy he was about the train instead of Santa.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that funny? He cried when we had to leave the stage for the next people. He loves trains.
ReplyDeleteThank you! It was much easier when they just sat there calmly and did what they were supposed to do :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! They did a pretty good job. Well, until we had to leave.
ReplyDeleteGiggle. It will be a funny story one day-the Santa threat!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great Santa. It's in the middle of a mall, too, but you would never know from the pictures.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cam!
ReplyDeleteI like that it's vintage-y, too. Isn't it crazy that it's in the mall?
ReplyDeleteAbbey was pretty motivated; she really wants a new doll.
ReplyDeleteThank YOU for hosting such a fun linky. I'm enjoying seeing everyone's photos.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to do that-take them to the same place each year and keep the photos together. When do you think they will insist on stopping? Perhaps I will insist that they go as long as they want presents ;)
ReplyDeleteWe always went to see Santa, but my mom never got photos. I would love to have some :(
Dylan was mainly excited about the train, to be honest :)
