Summer Checklist Update

Last week, I wrote my summer bucket list - fifty things I want to do this summer.

Let's see how I'm doing...

Pick Strawberries

I lost my camera somewhere at the cider mill
(that was NOT on my bucket list)
While camping last weekend, Dylan played in the lake, and we built sandcastles.
(that's three things from my list!)

Visit the Toledo Zoo

Ryan, the kids, and I made the drive on Thursday, which was after the disappointing loss of the camera.  We're fairly partial to our zoo, but Toledo has something Detroit doesn't, and that is a baby elephant.  Lucas the baby elephant was 27 days old on our visit, and honestly one of the most adorable things I've ever seen.  Abbey kept saying, "awwww, he's cuuuuutttteee," and smiling.  Of course, she also kept saying, "He's sooooo little!"  He's actually 345 pounds, which isn't that small at all, but compared to his 8000 pound mama, I guess it's downright tiny.

  1. Aw, so sorry about the loss of your camera, that sucks!

Glad you crossed a few things off your list though. As always, love pictures of your precious ones.

  2. Thankfully, there weren't too many pictures on there that hadn't been downloaded, but still :(

  3. What a bummer that you lost your camera!
You must replace it immediately, because your kids are TOO adorable to miss a single shot.

It's July 3rd and I haven't even *made* our list yet. Sigh.
You have me inspired now, though!

  4. I am borrowing my dad's camera, just so I don't miss anything :)  I am not a great photographer, but what I lack in quality I make up for in quantity LOL

Michigan summers are short; I have to make the most of my time.  Out in CA you have more time to work with, so you can start your list a little later :)

  6. Thanks Sherri.  I guess it's better than losing my mind, which is a daily teeter-totter game around here...
