The Wedding

The day of the wedding is the longest I have been apart from Dylan since he was born.  I'm not going to lie; I was a little nervous.  In my head, I know that my parents are more than capable of wrangling my kids.  Still, those little threads of doubt and guilt can really wiggle into my heart at times.  Yet, I was also looking forward to a night out with Ryan, surrounded by friends, dressing up, and dancing until my feet begged to be taken out of my platforms.

Of course, the kids had a blast with my parents, my parents got to spoil them a little without me hanging over their shoulders, and we had a magical night.  I can't help it; I love weddings.  Something about all of that love in one place just makes me smile.

And by the end of the night, my heels were kicked into the corner, we were back with our babies, and I fell asleep with a smile on my face.  (Ok, I can't know for sure about that last part, but it was just that kind of night.)
