I often tell people it's Crazy Town at my house, and that's definitely the truth. What I sometimes fail to mention is that Crazy Town has some sort of Crazy Time, and it's moving us along at warp speed. Though I can't imagine life without our little bruiser, I sometimes have to rub my eyes and remind myself that he is almost six months old. Since he is our last baby, I guess I feel like he should have stayed a baby for a little longer. He's not going off to college quite yet, but he seems to be developing in leaps and bounds.
Suddenly he's sitting on his own for long stretches of time. Well, I have to put him in a sitting position, but he's even pretty close to pushing himself from laying to sitting.
I felt a tooth on Tuesday morning. Exciting stuff, at least until he starts biting me, but for now I'm thrilled to see that all of that drooling has finally done something productive.
I bought some baby cereal and food that can be mashed up (avocado & sweet potatoes if anyone cares). Since he has been grabbing at our food for a while now, I'm hoping he'll be satisfied with that and not want to move straight to steak and sushi. He was gumming the spoon I gave him to practice on like an old pro. Stay tuned for a (messy) food post in the near future!
He is still a smily, snuggly, and giggly little guy. My baby might be missing, but I'm looking forward to seeing the little boy who is taking his place.
