We went to the Detroit Zoo Boo this weekend, and we had such a great time. Abbey went last year, but she was kind of young to enjoy it. This time she was out of the stroller, checking out the pumpkins, the other kids, and just having a blast at one of her favorite places. Stacy, Madison, and her in-laws, Colleen, and Brendan were all in attendance, but Colleen, Brendan, Abbey, and I quickly fell behind the rest of the group. Abbey and Brendan were much too curious to go through the Zoo Boo path at a normal pace. We had to investigate everything! We love pumpkins!
Awww, penguins made out of little squash!
Seriously Mommy? People were giving out free CANDY, and you're giving me raisins? Really?
Abbey and Brendan were wandering, well running, down the path to the Butterfly House. The Butterfly House was not part of the Boo Zoo, as can be seen by the lack of decorations. This would be part of the reason that we were separated from Stacy, Madison, and the Lukases!
A biiiiiigggggg pumpkin!
Brendan is always on the move; it can be difficult to get a cute picture of the two of them together, since one of them is constantly making a break for it.
And then there was one...After Colleen & Brendan had to leave (we were definitely out past bedtime, considering the drive that C & B had to make to get home), Abbey decided she couldn't leave without playing on the hippo. We spent at least 15 minutes there, next to the music-blaring 95.5 FM tent, where she danced, played, and threw a fit when Mommy finally decided it was time to leave. I guess ladybugs don't have a bedtime?
