I have been a little lax about Abbey's blog lately, but that is partly because I've been having so much fun with her! She started walking two weeks ago, and lately she is really on the move. She took her first steps on her own at Grandma Sharon & Grandpa Don's house. It was pretty special, because Uncle Donnie, Aunt Jessica, Ryan, and I were all there to see it. She's still a little wobbly, as evidenced by a bruise on her poor little cheek. She is kind of impatient and tries to go a lot faster than her legs are ready to go. She's definitely getting the hang of it, though! This chair that Grandma Sue & Grandpa Ray got me makes a wonderful stroller for my baby!
Abbey and I hung out with Stacy, Connor, and Madison today. Since I forgot my camera at home, I thought I would post this picture from Abbey's birthday party with the girls and the Baby Whisperer, I mean Grandma Sharon! Abbey took a little while to get comfortable at Stacy's house, but then she was wandering all over the place. She is enthralled with Connor and kept trying to talk to Madison. Stacy and I agree that it will be so much fun when they kind of "catch up" in age. Right now they seem so far apart, but in reality, it's only 7 months!

Abbey loved her birthday balloons. It is now March 14 - an entire month after Abbey's party - and the balloons finally went in the garbage today. Mylar helium balloons are serious business; I was starting to worry that they were going to become a permanent fixture in our living room.
